Post Jam Updates


While making this game for Kaiju Jam II, I had failed to complete (arguably) one of the most important factors of a game:

Trying Again, Scaling, and The End.

I minor bug prevented the "try again" screen from working. The player would need to refresh the page anyway, so it was left out until the problem could be resolved.

The Kaiju evolves and grows in power, but the City and the Helicopters patrolling the city remained static, giving a stagnant feel to the environment, no matter how powerful the kaiju was.

While I had fleshed out the general destruction and upgrade loop, there wasn't any end goal to complete the game. It wasn't until someone asked, "What am I playing for? Is there an end?" that I realized my oversight. Seeing as it was mere hours before the submission deadline, I let it be.

This update adds those missing elements: the bug was fixed allowing the player to try again from within the game, the city becomes larger and more populated, the helicopter's pool be more concentrated in high power enemies, and there is a final screen to thank the player for "completing" the game.
